When you want a beautiful country setting for your wedding, Heart Wood Place is the perfect choice! Our location allows for picture-perfect outdoor weddings, with beautiful wooded backgrounds, simple grassy areas, or near our pond and pavilion.
Nestled in ten acres of beautiful woods, we offer wedding and reception space at a fraction of the cost of larger communities.
Plan your day just as you’d like, simple and beautiful or elegant and fancy! Vibrant with outdoor flowers during our Michigan springs and summers, or colorful autumn trees that make a wonderful setting for your special day.
Our four guest rooms available at the Bed and Breakfast make perfect getting-ready space, and a relaxing retreat for special guests after the event.
Because each bride and groom have their own ideas of what to include, we consult individually to find out what they’d like, and how we can best accommodate them.
Some may enjoy an intimate get-together with just a few members of the family, while others invite a hundred guests! We’ve had collector cars, horse-drawn carriages, and other special props that families have brought to make the day unique.

Receptions…
Indoors or Outdoors
We don’t require you use certain caterers or staff…your wedding or reception will be just as you want. Have you already found your caterer, florist, and musicians? Great!
Need some suggestions or local resources to use? We’re happy to help…we know lots of great contacts in the community.
Want the reception outdoors? Tables can be arranged a variety of ways, out in the open or under rented tents.
Prefer to be inside? Our country barn event center has hosted many types of gatherings, and can be arranged to suit your needs.

Directions:
From North M-52 out of Adrian Michigan, turn left onto West Valley Rd., head west to Bent Oak Hwy. Turn left onto Bent Oak Hwy and drive south to Hunt Rd. Turn right onto Hunt Rd. and drive west to Wisner Hwy. Turn right onto Wisner Hwy. and drive north - you will see a large stone, flagpole, and Heart Wood sign on the right. Heart Wood Place is NOT accessible from Moore Road to the north.
